Chipsealing and sweeping on selected Town roads has been completed. Residents please be mindful that some loose stone may still exist on the roads.
Eversource along with Asplundh Tree contractors will be working in various parts of town for the next several months on several utility enhancement projects including tree trimming and some tree removal. The areas of town with the most activity include sections of; Exeter Rd, Trumbull Hwy, Goshen Hill Rd, Bender Rd, Gates Rd, Jordan Ln, Old Route 89 and Rafferty Rd. Residents please be careful when passing through Work Zones and if residents plan on picking any wood left behind please be mindful of your safety while doing so.

Administers land use development application review process. Manages farmland and open space preservation programs. Assists with municipal grant opportunities. Administers town geographic information system (GIS). Enforces land use regulations. Provides staff support for the Planning & Zoning, Inland Wetlands, and Conservation Commissions. Drafts amendments to Zoning, Subdivision, and Inland Wetlands Regulations under the direction of the applicable commission.
Lebanon Town Planner Philip Chester was awarded the 2011 Outstanding Small Town and Rural Planner award by the Small Town and Rural Planning Division of the American Planning Association. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners and has professional degrees in both architecture and planning.
In 2015, Lebanon was awarded COMMUNITY OF THE YEAR by the CT Chapter of the American Planning Association “in recognition of its on-going efforts to preserve its agricultural-based economy and town character”.
