The Town Clerk’s Office is responsible for the safekeeping of all land records, town ordinances, vital records, maps, liquor permits, veteran discharge filings, town boards/commissions meeting agendas and minutes. The office administers elections, issues marriage, canine, and sport licenses, registers trade names, notaries, and is the official keeper of the Town Seal.
PLEASE NOTE: The Town Clerk’s office accepts land record recordings up until 30 minutes before the close of business. Our office accepts cash or check only. No credit or debit transactions.

Birth, marriage, civil union, and death records can be obtained for anyone who was living in Lebanon at the time of the event or was born, married, or who died in the Town of Lebanon. Our office is only permitted to issue certified copies of any vital. Certified copies are $20.00 each. See FORMS below to complete the specific request form for each event.
Marriage Licenses must be obtained in the Town which the ceremony will be held. The cost for a marriage license is $50.00. The license is valid for 65 days from the date of issuance. Please see FORMS below to print a MARRIAGE LICENSE WORKSHEET to bring with you, along with photo identification. Please call our office if you have any questions.
DOG LICENSES – Current rabies certificate must be presented when licensing. Licensing NEW dogs in the Town requires a rabies vaccination certificate and spay/neuter certificate (if applicable)

SPORTS LICENSES - The Town Clerk’s Office is an active licensing agent for the Department of Energy & Environmental Protection. You may also purchase your Connecticut hunting, trapping and fishing licenses and all required permits online. Please visit www.ct.gov/deep to purchase licenses online or to see associated sports licensing fees.
Provides for the ability of each political party to nominate as many candidates as there are vacancies on the Board of Education. (2008). This ordinance was rescinded by the Electors of the Town of Lebanon at a duly warned Town meeting held on Monday, April 3, 2017.
Requires town meeting to accept new town roads (1973)
