At the present time we have 15 open plots in the New Lebanon Cemetery on Waterman Road available to residents. Each plot can accomodate 2 full burials. Cost of those plots is $300.00 each. You can also use one of the graves for cremations if it is needed.
We have a good selection of Cremation plots also in the New Lebanon Cemetery in the white fenced in area by the first driveway near Waterman Road. They cost $50.00 each and can hold two sets of ashes in the smaller urns. This area however has to use all flush-to-ground markers so that it may be mowed in the summer time. We do allow decorations on these graves from Oct 15th to April 15th.
Since we are in the planning phase of the new cemetery on Synagague Road, details are not yet available about the cost or size of burial plots, or the cremation area. We are seeking input from the community. Preliminary plans call for the use of flowering trees and flowers in that cemetery. Be patient with us, we have another year of planning ahead of us.
Please remember you can not plant trees or shrubs of any kind on the graves. They uproot the monuments and make it difficult to mow. Also, no glass should be left at any gravesite due to the problem of breakage. We can not guarantee that the items you leave for your loved ones will not be stolen, please keep that in mind.
If you are handicapped and are coming to a funeral please let the undertaker know so that they can place you in the line with easier access to the gravesite. There is no handicapped parking space in the cemetery.
If the Sexton can be of any help please call.
