Legal Notice: Tax Collector's Notice on Warrant to Collect Tax

Notice is hereby given to all persons liable to pay taxes in the Town of Lebanon, Connecticut: that I have a warrant to collect a tax at the mil rate of 28.4 on the dollar, on the Grand List as last perfected; and that said tax is due and payable July 1, 2021, and January 1, 2022. The First installment of Real Estate and Personal Property are now due July 1, 2021. Motor Vehicle bills are now Due July 1st, 2021. For the purpose of collecting said tax, I shall be at the Lebanon Town Hall, 579 Exeter Road, Lebanon, CT 06249 during the month of July on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Tuesdays, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.  The Lebanon Town Hall is closed on Wednesdays. The Town Hall will be closed on Monday, July 5th, 2021, in observance of Independence Day. Payments may be made by mail or online through the town website: lebanonct.gov; online payments are subject to convenience fees.  When paying by mail, if a receipt is desired, a stamped, self- addressed envelope must be enclosed.  If taxes are paid by mail, they must be postmarked no later than August 2nd, 2021. After August 2nd, 2021, this tax becomes delinquent and interest will be charged from the due date at one- and one-half percent, per month or fraction thereof, eighteen percent per annum, the minimum interest charge is $2.00. Failure to receive a tax bill does not invalidate the tax or any interest charged should the tax become delinquent.  If you did not receive a bill and think you should please contact the office immediately. Conn Gen Stat. 12-130. The Statutes of the State of Connecticut that apply to the levy and collection of taxes will be enforced.
