Social Services
Lebanon Social Services Office offers a variety of services to Lebanon children, adults, and seniors. Social Services Administrator Shelly Ashcom works with federal, state, and local organizations to provide assistance to Lebanon residents in need.
Services for Adults
Referrals and assistance with SNAP, (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), WIC
State general assistance programs
Assistance with Husky Insurance for uninsured children and adults
Intake office for CT Energy Assistance Program
Referral and assistance with Eversource and Bozrah Light & Power plans
Food assistance and Intake office for Town Food Pantry
Referrals to area resources such as Budgeting Classes, TVCCA VITA Tax Preparation Program, Lebanon Children’s Clothing Wardrobe, Childcare, Library and School Programs, Lebanon Rec Dept, Area physicians and dentists, behavioral health and addiction services, Wellness programs, CT Legal assistance referrals
Services for Seniors
Assistance with budgeting and general paperwork/redeterminations
Referrals to TVCCA Meals-on-Wheels Program
Referrals to local elderly housing complexes
Referrals to Lebanon Senior Center, Transportation and Senior Resources
Assistance with Medicare Savings Program
Services for Kids
- Referrals to area resources such as medical, dental home, behavioral health/counseling services, Lebanon Children’s Clothing Corner, Lebanon Recreation Programs, Library Programs, Childcare, School Referrals
- Back to School supplies program for those in need (income eligible)
- Secret Santa/Holiday Giving Program (ages 0-15 years, income eligible)
