Rails to Trails Committee

Looking for a place to walk, bike, run, ride your horse or cross-country ski? Visit the The Air Line South State Park Trail in Lebanon! Check out the Air Line Trail Brochure in the Documents listed below!

The Lebanon portion of the Air Line Trail stretches for over 7 miles from the Willimantic River to the Hebron town line just east of Route 207. This multi-purpose trail is suitable for a variety of non-motorized activities, including walking and jogging, wheelchair use, bicycling, horseback riding and cross country skiing. Along the length of the trail, visitors can enjoy views of open fields, woodlands, wildflowers, wildlife and birds. The trail can be accessed at street crossings where you will also find small parking areas.

The southern portion of the Air Line Trail links East Hampton, Colchester, Hebron, Lebanon and Windham (Willimantic). The northern portion of the Air Line Trail links Windham, Chaplin, Hampton, Pomfret and Putnam. The Air Line Trail will also link to the East Coast Greenway, a 2300 mile long shared-use trail network being developed to link cities, suburbs and towns from the Canadian border to Key West, Florida.
