 Weather Alert: Heavy Rainfall Expected Tonight Through Tuesday

The Connecticut Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection has issued an alert for the potential of heavy rainfall across our area beginning tonight and continuing through Tuesday.

Repeated rounds of slow-moving showers and thunderstorms could produce 3–5 inches of rainfall over the next 36 hours, with the heaviest rainfall expected Monday afternoon into Monday evening.

Heavy rain may lead to localized flooding of roads, poor drainage areas, and low-lying locations. Residents are encouraged to monitor the forecast, avoid driving through flooded roadways, and use caution if traveling during periods of heavy rain.
