Colchester-Lebanon Route 16 Milling and Resurfacing Project

CTDOT is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 16 in Colchester and Lebanon from Tuesday, September 5 through Friday, September 29, 2023, with no Labor Day holiday restrictions.

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 16 in Colchester and Lebanon from Tuesday, September 5 through Friday, September 29, 2023, with no Labor Day holiday restrictions. The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 4.96-mile segment of Route 16 in Colchester and Lebanon. The milling segment for this project is scheduled for Tuesday, September 5 through Wednesday, September 13, 2023. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Friday, September 15 through Friday, September 29, 2023. 

This project is included in CTDOT’s 2023 Vendor Resurfacing Program.

LANE CLOSURE INFO:

Motorists can expect lane closures to occur on Route 16 from the west junction of Route 85 (Main Street) in Colchester to the end of Route 16 in Lebanon. Two (2) state troopers, traffic control personnel, crash attenuator vehicles and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
