Town Hall Offices Closed to Public Effective November 25

Effective Wednesday, November 25, Town Hall offices will be closed to the public until further notice.

Lebanon is now under "red alert" from the state due to the increase in COVID19 cases we have seen over the last couple weeks. The Lebanon Volunteer Fire Department also independently entered its highest stage of alert this month.

Town Hall offices were previously closed to the public from mid-March to early June and have been open since with a variety of procedures to ensure residents can safely access in-person services. Unfortunately, that approach is no longer sustainable. The case load in our town and surrounding towns is significantly higher than it was in the spring. For Lebanon and much of rural eastern Connecticut, this is our first real wave. We expect it to worsen after Thanksgiving.

As a result, Town Hall offices will be closed to the public again until this wave is under control. All staff will continue to work regular hours and will be there to assist you by phone or by email. You are also welcome to use the secure drop box in front of the Town Hall entrance to drop off documents rather than mailing them. Many services can now be accessed online, including applications for building permits. Please visit LebanonTownHall.org for more information.

For certain services, in-person appointments may be accommodated. We may ask that you wait in your vehicle and we will meet you outside the building.
